Tatweer Misr launches 4th round of Tatweer Misr Innovation Competition
This year marks the launch of the 4thround of the Tatweer Misr Innovation Competition, an annual challenge that provides Egyptian youth with the opportunity to pitch solutions that have the potential to revolutionize the real estate sector.
Selected applicants are supported throughout the course of the competition with a number of trainings, eye-openers and mentorship opportunities that help them further develop their solutions from both technical and business angles.
In the pitch nights which representthe final stage of the competition, contestants pitch their solutions to a panel of world-class experts and compete for a grand prize.
Previous winners of the competition have gone on to start their own ventures and make their mark in the real estate sector and beyond. Joining the ranks of previous winners and becoming a driver for change are open to whoever can meet this year’s challenge.
Following the changes and uncertainties precipitated by the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s challenge seeks solutions that will help people navigate their changed reality. As social-distancing, hygiene practices and adjusted spending patterns become part of everyday lives.
Applicants are required to tackle the solutions that will enable the real estate sector to adapt and become agile, resilient and forward-looking.
Applicants are invited to develop solutions that will have a positive impact on the real estate sector, address changes caused by COVID-19 and tackle at least one of the following competition categories:
The competition has two tracks: Ideation Track and Startups Track. In the Ideation Track, individuals and teams are invited to submit their innovative ideas.
In the Startups Track, startups, along various stages of development, are invited to submit their prototypes or existing products/services.
Two winners from the Ideation Track and one winner from the Startups Track will be selected to receive grand prizes up to EGP 250K and mentorship opportunities to allow their innovations to materialize and thrive.
