Up to 7,000 workers executed WWTP Bahr El-Baqar, Arab Contractors
Arab Contractors’ alliance with Orascom has executed a series of national projects, including the Metro Subway, according to chairperson of Arab Contractors Eng. Ahmed Abbas.
In televised statements, Abbas disclosed details of constructing Waste Water Treatment Plant of Bahr El Baqar, as he said that the project took up to 23 months to complete.
“We thank God for being the generation that witnessedthe execution of thismarvelous projectunder rule of great leader Abd El Fatah El-Sisi, as WWTP Bahar El-Baqar puts an end to water problems of Manzala Lake, protects the fish wealth, renovate and revamp up to 480,000 acres of land.”
Bahr El-Baqar Water Drainage System was made back in 1970s to serve agricultural, not sewage dumping, purposes, he explained, adding that agricultural, industrial and sanitary sewage were used to be dumped into Bahr El-Baqar Water Drainage System, he elaborated.
Up to 7,000 workers and engineers were recruited by Arab Contractors and Orascomto build WWTP Bahr El-Baqar project, as they spent up to 22 million hours in constructions that saw the installation of up to 6500 poles to overcome soil problems at the site of Bahr El-Baqar project, he elaborated.
