Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce delegation visits Egypt Pavilion
Ambassador Osmar Chohfi, president of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, has visited Egypt Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, leading a 15-member delegation of Chamber officials and representatives of Brazilian companies.
Chohfi lauded the remarkable content of the pavilion, which highlights the ancient Egyptian civilization and the major development efforts exerted by the government, as well as the country’s ambitious vision for the future.
He pointed out that the Arab-Brazilian ties has been witnessing a significant development especially at the economic level.
“Last September we had a meeting with H.E Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea, where we signed an agreement to establish a representative office in Cairo, which reflects the Chamber's interest in the Egyptian market, being one of the most prominent in the Middle East and Africa”, Chohfi said.
The new headquarters, Chohfi noted, will help to support joint Brazilian-Egyptian factories and promote trade between the two countries, both at the bilateral and multilateral levels, with Latin American as well as African countries under the Mercosur and the African Continental Free Trade agreements respectively.
