Sherif Mostafa, Managing Director of “IGI Developments”, said that the company, as part of its keenness to keep pace with the most developed methods, is moving strongly towards adopting the mechanisms of sustainability in its projects, and studying more advanced mechanisms in its latest projects, whose plan is currently prepared in New Sphinx City.
New projects implement sustainable development
Engi. Sherif Mostafa confirmed that the company will expand further in sustainable technologies and green architecture in its latest projects in the New Sphinx City, which are built on an area of 540 acres.
The company is preparing the project plan with the assistance of expert consultants specialized in the field of sustainable construction and green architecture in order to implement the project at the highest level, he added.
The company’s plan for the project in this regard includes recycling waste and ensuring that it is used for purposes compatible with preserving the environment, as well as taking into account the effective use of building materials to reduce harmful waste for the environment, in addition to irrigation systems to rationalize the water used, and directing service buildings to reduce the use of bulbs, lighting systems and ventilation devices such as air conditioner.
Current projects apply sustainable development standards
As for its current projects, “ Hayy Al Ashgar” which is located in the ٦th of October City, is one of the first residential communities in the ٦th of October City, which implemented the idea of a gated community with integrated services, and about 3500 units were delivered and occupied, including apartments, villas, and townhouses.
Engineer Sherif Mostafa pointed out that , “ Hayy Al Ashgar” is one of the projects that has been occupied by a large number of clients, and “IGI Developments” is keen to implement maintenance works and modernize services such as landscapes, roads, raise the efficiency of buildings, and preparations are currently being made to update the project gates and the surrounding fence, as well as some renovations to the commercial area.
Concerning “Ashgar City”, it is located on an area of 148 acres and is characterized by its strategic location near all the main axes and roads in the region, such as Al-Wahat Road, Ring Road, Fayoum Road and Dahshur Road.
Converting light bulbs to saving ones and establishment of a sewage treatment and recycling plant
Eng. Sherif Mostafa indicated that “IGI Developments” has started converting all the light bulbs in its projects “Hayy Al-Ashgar” and “Ashgar City” into electrical energy-saving bulbs within the framework of the sustainability goals of energy conservation, and the conversion is being studied to rely on solar energy for lighting purposes.
The company is already implementing a sewage treatment and recycling plant for using in green areas irrigation and recycling waste in these projects.
Offering new phases in “IGI Developments” projects
The company offered distinctive stages of the project in 2022, which are Calla and Rosa, with areas starting from 100 square meters and prices starting from one million and two hundred thousand pounds, and installments up to 8 years that they achieved great demand from customers as “Ashgar City” offers immediate delivery units or delivery up to 3 years depending on the unit.
The latest stage in “Hayy Al-Ashgar” was recently launched under the name “Jada” last May, and new units were relaunched during the company’s participation in the Cityscape exhibition, thanks to the unprecedented turnout it achieved, as the demand for “Hayy Al-Ashgar” is constantly increasing due to its good reputation for continuous development.
The areas at this stage range between 140 and 200 square meters, with prices starting from 2 million pounds, installments up to 9 years, and delivery within two and half years, depending on the unit.
