Eng. Badir Rizk : “Paragon is the first private sector company to implement sustainable administrative buildings in the New Administrative Capital
The Company is set to conclude new strategic partnerships in the field of green building.’ “Paragon 1,” the first eco-friendly administrative building in the New Administrative Capital, will be delivered in early 2023.

Equipped with 35 years of experience in the sectors of construction, real estate development, and engineering and architectural consulting, Paragon Developments was launched in 2018 to showcase a model of innovative eco-friendly projects that fulfill the requirements of customers from local and international multinational companies, in line with the state orientations in the New Administrative Capital. It is considered a model of smart and sustainable cities.
Paragon Developments has extensive international experience in project management and innovation in the designs of administrative and commercial buildings, hotels, and tourist resorts in European countries, the United States, Egypt, and the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries. The most prominent of these projects are the administrative buildings of Siemens, Zepter, and Pioneer.
Paragon Developments has carried out sustainable and smart projects in the New Administrative Capital (Paragon 1 and Paragon 2), which are the first smart, eco-friendly administrative buildings in the New Capital.
During COP27, Paragon Developments showcased its experiences in its sustainable projects. It also announced it had signed a contract with Schneider Electric to provide smart solutions for its projects.
Eng. Badir Rizk, CEO of Paragon Developments, said that the Company had designed a strategy since 2019 to implement projects considering environmental standards. Senior consultants were used to implementing these ideas, so the Company became one of the first developers of the New Administrative Capital to implement models of eco-friendly and sustainable projects.
He added that the Company is developing more than 100,000 square meters of sustainable and eco-friendly administrative buildings, pointing out that "10% of building area has been allocated for services to meet the needs of workers and owners of administrative units. Restaurants, nurseries, meeting rooms, and training halls have been provided to help them stay inside the building enjoying its unique services."
“Paragon 1” is being built on an area of 4,239 square meters, with a building area of 23,316 square meters, and will be delivered in early 2023. “Paragon 2” is still under construction and being built on an area of 9,215 square meters, with a building area of 60,000 square meters.
He pointed out that the Company aims to expand and implement more extensive projects in the market during the following year.
Participation in COP27
Eng. Badir Rizk said that the Company was present at COP27 to showcase its experiences in establishing sustainable and smart projects, gain knowledge from various backgrounds of developers and international companies, and follow up on developments in achieving sustainability.
"Directing a larger number of companies towards constructing sustainable, eco-friendly buildings requires several measures, the most notable being awareness, appropriate legislation, and the presence of financial institutions to contribute to financing these projects.", he explained.
He also said that the Company is cooperating with “Schneider Electric” to provide sustainable technological solutions for its projects in the New Administrative Capital, as details of a new contract were announced during COP27.
By concluding this agreement, Paragon Developments aims to benefit from Schneider Electric’s expertise in the EcoStruxure™ platform and its architecture. EcoStruxure™ is Schneider Electric’s IoT-enabled, plug-and-play, open, interoperable architecture and platform in homes, buildings, data centers, infrastructure, and industries, driven by Schneider Electric’s precedent successful experiences in designing a proven concept of distinctive, smart, and sustainable buildings.
The platform will allow for managing and maintaining the infrastructure, including electricity, heating, air conditioning, water, gas, data centers, databases, DCIM, traffic, security, and command and control centers.
Paragon 1 aims to be a role model for future cities in the country and the region, taking into account the specific characteristics of Egypt's economic, climatic, social, and cultural environment.
Eng. Badir Rizk explained that the Company would sign new agreements in the field of sustainability and provide smart and technological solutions for its projects, which will be announced soon.
