Egypt to become a regional green energy hub

الثلاثاء، 28 فبراير 2023 02:58 م

Egypt is going forward with a quick pace towards green transformation and is continuing to apply strategies to become a regional green energy hub، despite all the challenges that all countries worldwide are suffering from.

Despite the emergence of technology and the upgrading of life and building methods in recent years، there are many villages and governorates in Egypt that continue to practise green building and nature-based living.

Those villages did not indulge in using pollutants; as the Egyptian countryside is still preserving the green building pattern and construction using materials manufactured by natural substances، for example، we have Aswan; hence، the complete green transformation of Aswan or other cities in Egypt as we witnessed in Sharm El-Sheikh will not be difficult.

Moreover، sustainable investment projects in Egypt will be a golden opportunity for any investor، as the country has the raw materials for producing eco-friendly building materials used in green buildings، as well as the soil، mountains، seas، and a low-wage workforce.

Despite its growing population، Egypt is one of the countries with low carbon dioxide emissions.

Egypt has an excellent opportunity for green investment; in addition to the natural resources mentioned، ongoing infrastructure development projects such as the National Highway Development Project (NHDP)، other infrastructure projects، and the construction of new cities increase Egypt's significance as a key stop for successful investments.

Speaking of green investment، the Egyptian authorities' plan is currently directed towards building facilities that could produce sustainable and eco-friendly building materials.

The Arab nation currently has a genuine desire and mentality to shift towards sustainability; for example، one of the mega telecommunications companies announced the launch of the first eco-friendly sim card، and a number of construction companies are currently implementing sustainable and green building projects.

We also have a paradigm for the sustainable industrial city، which is "Tarboul،" which is scheduled to be the first industrial city without pollutants as it is built according to the green infrastructure’s latest technology techniques. Therefore، Tarboul will offer a lot of green investment opportunities and will need efforts to promote them in order to attract foreign capital investments.

Last but not least، the green transformation is feasible for Egypt's lifestyle and raw materials، but it is difficult because it requires large investments to build facilities capable of producing eco-friendly building materials. We are on the right track، and we expect our efforts to bear fruit in record time.
