Ford to manufacture half million green trucks annually in 2025 in USA

Ford Motor Co.، the second top American automaker campanies، annonced yesterday that it plans to manufacture 500 thousand green or electric trucks a year at its BlueOval City complex under construction in Memphis، western Tennessee، by investing $5.6 billion in this factory، which is on track to begin production in 2025، to be the first and only product to be announced thus far for the plant is a next-generation EV truck، which Ford has code-named "T3"، short for "TrustTheTruck".

Ford Motor Co.، the American automaker، unveiled that its new plant being constructed outside Memphis، Tennessee، will be capable of manufacturing half million green or electric trucks annually at full production، starting within two years.

Ford’s next-generation F-series electric pickup or green trucks


Ford Motor Co.'s BlueOval City factory will assemble several versions of Ford’s next-generation F-series electric pickup or green trucks، which the company calls Project T3، short for "TrustTheTruck".

Ford Motor Co.'s CEO Jim Farley stated that production will begin in roughly 30 months that is during the fall of 2025 wile the Stanton plant northeast of Memphis is part of Ford’s plan to have global EV or green production capacity of 2 million cars a year in place by the end of 2026.

Ford Motor Co.'s CEO Jim Farley revealed the new electric pickup and the green trucks as the sequel to the F150 Lightning which is currently built near Ford headquarters in Dearborn، Michigan، and is based on the standard combustion-engine F-series pickups.

Ford Motor Co.'s Project T3 green or electric pickup and trucks is being developed on a new dedicated EV truck architecture according to CEO Jim Farley who added that the new platform، which carries the internal designation TE1، will also underpin full-size electric SUVs in 2026 that could supplement or replace the current Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator.

Ford Motor Co.'s CEO Jim Farley indicated that the $5.6 billion BlueOval City complex، which is being jointly developed with Korean partner SK On، also will have a green battery plant capable of producing more than 40 gigawatt-hours worth of cells، that is enough to supply up to half a million EVs or green truck per annum.
