The Center for European & Mediterranean Affairs selected the Egyptian artist، Dr.Sara A. Abdoh، Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Sculpture، Architectural Formation and Restoration at the Faculty of Applied Arts at Benha University، as a main discussant for the 16th Annual International Conference on Mediterranean Studies، 3-6 April 2023، Athens، Greece، Organized by Athens Institute for Education & Research and sponsored by the Athens Journal of Mediterranean Studies.
The aim of the conference، which chose the Egyptian artist، Dr.Sara A. Abdoh، Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Sculpture، Architectural Formation and Restoration at the Faculty of Applied Arts at Benha University، is to bring together academics and researchers from all areas of Mediterranean Studies، such as history، arts، archaeology، philosophy، culture، sociology، politics، international relations، economics، business، sports etc.
The Egyptian artist، Dr.Sara A. Abdoh، stated that the International Conference for Mediterranean Studies، held in Athens، the capital of Greece، discussed important global issues، including climate change، reduce carbon emissions to protect the planet، achieve sustainable development and the impact of the environment on architectural design and other studies related to restoration and preservation of heritage and monuments in order to implement sustainability in the countries of the Mediterranean region.

Abdoh، Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Sculpture، Architectural Formation and Restoration at the Faculty of Applied Arts at Benha University، revealed that the International Conference on Mediterranean Studies، sought the help of her as one of the specialized experts at the world level، to participate in the discussion of these prestigious researches in the conference from world ranked universities in terms of the quality of education and scientific research، such as the Metropolitan and Acadia Universities in Canada and the University of Granada in Spain.
The Egyptian artist، Dr.Sara A. Among the researches discussed by the Egyptian artist، the youngest head of the Department of Sculpture، Architectural Formation and Restoration at the Faculty of Applied Arts at Benha University، with the discussion committee of the International Conference on Mediterranean Studies، a research entitled Architectural Modernity in the Mediterranean and Canada، and another paper entitled Renovations and Restorations: Transformations in the House of Orpheus in the Greek city of Volubilis، and others.
INSO AWARDS for the Egyptian artist، Dr.Sara A. Abdoh
The Indian INSO AWARDS Foundation for innovative research in the fields of engineering، science and medicine، also selected the Egyptian artist، Dr.Sara A. Abdoh for awarding her the International Scientific Award in Engineering، Science and Medicine، which is granted for the first time in the world to a plastic artist for her innovation of the research project that she presented in Italy on arts and technology while obtaining a training scholarship in Italy last year، to become the Egyptian historian and the only plastic artist to receive this international award granted by the Foundation to scholars worldwide.
The Egyptian artist، Dr.Sara A. Abdoh is considered the first artist to win an international scientific award in art، as she chronicled and participated in the design of the first virtual architecture in the world by applying Metaverse technology during her scholarship in Italy.
The Egyptian artist، Dr.Sara A. Abdoh confirmed that the pioneering artists and architects in Italy unanimously agreed that they were the first to hear for her innovative research project with the work of artists and architects when she was lecturing in Italy for her project on Technology، Art and Architecture.
The Egyptian artist، Dr.Sara A. Abdoh the only international art historian from Egypt
Dr.Sara A. Abdoh is the only Egyptian artist and art historian، who chronicled the first virtual architecture in the world with the application of Metaverse، which was invented by the American company Microsoft، after she won a unique grand prize presented to her by the Italian Embassy in Egypt، in cooperation with the Foundation for Sustainable Development in Rome.
She created this first virtual architecture while on a scholarship and training with a gift from the oldest Academy of Arts in Italy to her and an invitation to study there due to her fame as an international arbitrator for scientific research in international research institutions and universities.
Dr.Sara A. Abdoh is the youngest and first Egyptian artist to win a scholarship in Italy and international awards، that she received a high-level promotion to become the youngest department head in the faculties of fine and applied arts in Egyptian universities thanks to her unique scientific research worldwide، which she published in many international journals in Europe، the United States. and Asia.

The Egyptian artist، Dr.Sara A. Abdoh also presented a research project linking the history of arts and technology with the rapid development that occurs in merging artistic fields with technological innovations during the celebration of Egyptian Women's Day.
The Egyptian National Council for Women، in the project for the economic empowerment of Egyptian women، chose the Egyptian artist، Dr.Sara A. Abdoh، among the list of inspiring Egyptian women as she is the only Egyptian historian and plastic artist to receive an international scientific awards from India and Italy.
