Extension of the MoU for the Tramway Project in Mauritania

Mauritanian Minister of Equipment and Transport، and Eng. Sayed Al Wazir - Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company، signed an addendum to extend the work of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to complete the Tramway Network in the capital، Nouakchott، for a full year.

This addendum includes the completion of the Tramway Network in Nouadhibou، which will allow for continued discussion and study of the submitted offers to obtain the best possible offer to finance these important vital projects that will contribute to solving the traffic problem in Nouakchott and Nouadhibou.

The signing was attended by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Equipment and Transport، Ambassador Khaled Youssef - Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt، Egyptian Consul Mr. Mahmoud Bayoumi، Mr. Sayed Al Husseini - Financial Manager، and Manager of Programming and Cooperation at the Ministry.

The Mauritanian Prime Minister received the company’s delegation after signing the extension of the MoU. He pointed out the importance of the project to the Mauritanian state and expressed his full support for this project، urging for its rapid completion.

The Mauritanian Minister of Water and the Minister of Higher Education also received the company’s delegation، where they discussed the state’s plan for water projects، as well as construction projects of university buildings and institutes to identify the available opportunities، and the cooperation possibility in these fields.
