MIDAR Launches Groundbreaking of Three New Projects in Mostakbal City to Develop the Grand Mosque, Sports Club, and Orange Park
MIDAR for Investment and Urban Development, the Master Developer of "Mostakbal City" and "MADA" in New Cairo, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Grand Mosque, the Sports Club, and the Orange Park in "Mostakbal City". This pivotal step supports the community’s development journey to combine residential, service, religious, and sports projects. It reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening a fully-integrated services system within the city.

The ceremony took place at Mercato area of Mostakbal City. It was attended by Major General Eng. Amir Sayed Ahmed, Chairman of MIDAR for Investment and Urban Development,
and Eng. Ayman ElKousey, CEO & Managing Director of MIDAR. Also in attendance were the members of the Board of Directors, the executive management, and the work teams from various sectors of the company.

Several real estate developers with projects in the city were also in attendance. Among them were Eng. Amr Soliman, Chairman of Mountain View, Mr. Ahmed Hassan, Chairman of Alexandria Sporting Club, Mr. Mohamed Lotfy, Board Member of the club, and Eng. Ahmed El-Abd, Chairman of Concord. The ceremony marked the launch of new projects aimed at supporting urban development and strengthening Mostakbal City’s position as an integrated and sustainable urban community.
During the ceremony, MIDAR signed a contract to implement the Grand Mosque project with "Concord" for Contracting, in the presence of Eng. Ahmed El-Abd, Chairman of the company. The project will represent a distinctive architectural landmark. It will be located on the main axis of "Mostakbal City", spanning an area of approximately seven feddans, designed to host 5,000 worshippers. The mosque will feature designated prayer areas, an outdoor courtyard for additional worshippers, and two multi-purpose halls. It will also include a large Islamic library and 10 classrooms for Quran memorization and recitation, making it a fully integrated center for worship, learning, and knowledge.

Regarding the Sports Club project, which will be managed, operated, and marketed by Sporting for Investment and Sports Facilities (S.I.S.F), owned by Alexandria Sporting Club, under a joint contract with MIDAR. Covering an area of 45 feddans, the project offers a fully integrated sports and entertainment experience for people of all ages.
The club will include 34 courts for squash, tennis, volleyball, basketball, handball, and five-a-side football, as well as e-gaming rooms, spaces for artistic creativity and yoga, martial arts courts, boxing halls, and table tennis facilities. The club will also feature Olympic-sized swimming pools, water polo pools, recreational pools for children and adults, fitness halls, green spaces, social and service buildings, restaurants, and retail outlets, with infrastructure qualified to host major sports tournaments and events.
Completing the city’s integrated services system, the Orange Park project covers approximately 36 feddans. It forms a fully-integrated entertainment and environmental destination. The project will offer a wide range of activities and services, including a distinguished nursery garden providing a unique natural experience, walking trails, and play areas suitable for all ages. It also features bazaar areas with diverse commercial and entertainment activities, and a fully integrated restaurant complex with specialized dining outlets and fine dining experiences.

In addition, the project will include an open-air theater with a capacity of 2,000–2,500 people for events and performances, as well as designated parking areas. Orange Park thus will become a destination that combines entertainment, nature, and premium services for city residents.
