ACUD sells 4.5 acres land to embassy of Bangladesh
The New Administrative Capital for Urban Development sold a plot of land of 4.5 acres to the embassy of Bangladesh Republic in a deal worth USD10mln.
The sold land is meant by the embassy to serve the purpose of building offices and housing units at the Diplomatic Neighborhood of the New Administrative Capital, according to a statement released by ACUD.
“ This is the first contract signed for lands allocated to embassies and diplomatic missions at the Diplomatic Neighborhood,” read the statement.
The contract was signed by chairperson and managing director of ACUD General Ahmed Zaki Abdeen and ambassador of People’s Republic of Bangladesh Mr. Mohamed Moneer El Eslam.
ACUD received up to 60 official requests to obtain lands in preparation for moving all embassies and diplomatic missions to their respective new headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
ACUD explained that the land sale is in sync with the near completion of several first phase projects at the City, not to mention the Government Neighborhood, the new headquarter of Foreign Ministry, Parliament building, and the Senate Council Building.
