الإثنين، 28 يونيو 2021 02:57 م

Hilton has announced plans to rebrand two existing properties on the Italian island of Sardinia.

A Curio Collection hotel is scheduled to be reflagged this summer, followed by a Conrad property in 2022. Both hotels will be situated at the Chia Laguna in the south of the island.

Baia di Chia Resort Sardinia, Curio Collection by Hilton, has an elevated seafront location and will offer 77 rooms, all with private terraces, as well as Southeast Asian, Thai and Sushi restaurants, an outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts.

Meanwhile Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia will be the brand’s first property in Italy, and will open following “an extensive renovation that will update and enhance all guest rooms, common areas, restaurants and bars to be in line with Conrad’s refined yet contemporary brand aesthetic”.

Features will include 107 rooms, all with private garden or terrace, as well as two restaurants, an outdoor pool with poolside bar, and a 1,000 sqm spa with six treatment rooms, a yoga studio and fitness centre.

Guests staying at both hotels will have access to a private beach club within walking distance of the resort, and Conrad guests will enjoy a complimentary beach shuttle service and private VIP areas.

Chia Laguna is located around a 45-minute drive from Cagliari International airport, and is known for its sandy beaches, coastline lagoons and pink flamingos.

Commenting on the news, Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, Development, EMEA, Hilton, said:

Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia and Baia di Chia Resort Sardinia, Curio Collection are welcome additions to Hilton’s growing luxury and resort portfolio, joining upcoming hotels in the Seychelles, Las Vegas and Morocco.

We’re pleased to be working with our long-standing partners Westmont Hospitality Group once again. As restrictions ease around the world, guests are dreaming of international trips, and with 40 new Hilton openings planned this year in Europe alone, we are looking forward to welcoming them.”

Jet 2 recently announced plans for a raft of new routes and package holidays from Birmingham, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and London Stansted to Olbia airport on the island of Sardinia for 2022.
