“Integrated Route - One Destination” held at Expo Dubai 2020
The first event for SCZONE was held in Dubai Exhibition Center at Expo Dubai 2020, which discussed the investment opportunities and projects that are being contracted - in the presence of global investors, a delegation from DP World and representatives of DP World Sokhna, the main operator in Sokhna Harbor inside SCZONE.
Also attended investors from Japan, France, and executives from Maersk, which manages SCCT at East Port Said Harbor.
H.E Yehia Zaki, Chairman of SCZONE and H.E Osama Rabie, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority participated as main speakers at the first event for SCZONE at Expo Dubai 2020, in the presence of high-profile businessmen as well as local and global investors, who are SCZONE’s development partners.
The event also aimed to discuss the targeted industries, which are currently being implemented by Arab and foreign investors in the Zone. These industries depend on petrochemicals and railroads supplements to fill the needs of the regional and African markets and exports, along with the effective substances needed for the pharmaceutical sector.
‘’SCZONE contracted a USD 170 million Roll On Roll Off service project in Eastern Port Said Harbor with the largest French Japanese alliance, and building the largest complex for petrochemicals in Ain Sokhna, as well as contracting with Russia for the establishment of a USD 6.9 billion Russian Industrial Zone in Port Said and Sokhna, and establishing the first Polish Industrial Zone with the region of Katowice for the first time outside the country at Ain Sokhna Zone’’, said H.E. Yehia Zaki, the Chairman of Suez Canal Economic Zone . He also highlighted maximizing the business with DP World Sokhna, and the new expansion of the second basin, adding that work is underway for constructing four new basins with 12 kilometers berths.
