The Swiss Ambassador to Egypt visits Nestlé Dry Goods Factory in 6 october

Nestlé Egypt has welcomed H.E. the Swiss Ambassador to Egypt, Ms. Yvonne Baumann, accompanied by the Trade and Commercial Advisor of the Embassy of Switzerland Ms. Naima Saleh, to Nestlé Dry Goods Factory at 6 October city.

The visit included fruitful discussions with Chairman and CEO of Nestlé Egypt Moataz El Hout along with Osama Abdelhamid Nestlé Dry Goods Factory Manager, where they accompanied the ambassador in a factory tour highlighting production lines and showing the high level of safety applied in the factory.

Yvonne Baumann, Ambassador of Switzerland to Egypt, stated that Nestlé is producing high-quality products using local raw materials and applying high standards of production. Like this, the company not only adds value but creates a high number of jobs, on top of generating foreign currency by exporting to many countries in the region.

On this occasion, Moataz El Hout, Chairman and CEO of Nestlé Egypt, stated, "Nestlé aspires to expand its facilities in Egypt in order to cover various industrial segments such as production, processing, storage, and distribution. We are committed to maintaining and increasing our investments in Egypt and apply Nestlé’s high level manufacturing methods which directly reflects in our products.”

Nestlé products have been available in Egypt through importers since 1870, and with the availability of an encouraging investment climate in Egypt, the company began operating its first factory in 1991, and today, Nestlé Egypt is a pivotal hub for the Middle East and North Africa, with its headquarters in Cairo. It employs almost 3,500 people directly, all of whom are devoted to the company's purpose of "improving the quality of life and contributing to a healthier future." Furthermore, the organization helps to provide indirect work prospects for around 8,000 people.
