السبت، 29 أكتوبر 2022 01:30 م

EasyJet Holidays, a British tourism company, announced very cheap flights, including all costs of round-trip airfare and full accommodation in the resort of Hurghada in Egypt for about a month, at about £650, and enjoying a mild weather during January and February in the resort of Hurghada on the Red Sea and escaping from the very cold winter.

In Britain, the average expenditure costs a person £877 per month this year, due to the high energy prices due to the Russian war in Ukraine.

Several British newspapers, including The Sun, Express and The Independent, reported that EasyJet Holidays announced that its tourist flights to Egypt during the coming months of January and February are much cheaper than accommodation costs in Britain, at about £227 sterling per person per month.

Cost of an EasyJet Holidays trip £650 to Egypt for a month

The costs of the tourist trip organized by EasyJet Holidays to Egypt for about a month is £650, include the price of a round ticket, accommodation costs in the most luxurious Stella Garden Resort hotels in Hurghada, including taxes, breakfast, lunch, dinner and all drinks, including mineral water and Wi-Fi. Transfers from the airport and inside the resort.

EasyJet Holidays dhows in its tour program to Egypt this winter that the Briton, who will not travel to Egypt and will stay in his country, will bear costs exceeding £877 per month, including housing rent or mortgage installments and transportation expenses as well as utility bills of water, electricity, gas, and Wi-Fi., Subscriptions to satellite channels and mobile phones, in addition to food products, whose prices have risen to record levels due to global inflation.

ONS: 50% of Britons think about traveling to warm countries during the winter

More than 50% of Britons are considering leaving the country and traveling to warm countries during the winter to save on energy costs that are constantly rising due to the crisis of the Russian war in Ukraine, according to a report by the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

A recent survey by the ONS office also expressed that about 40% of Britons search online for companies that offer cheap tours to overseas countries with warm weather during the coming cold winter months, which will cost them in their country very high bills.

Matt Callaghan, easyJet holidays’ Customer & Operations Director said that with increasing numbers of Britons now searching online for cheap tourist trips to warm countries, EasyJet Holidays has come up with a month-long escape program to warm Egypt that is much cheaper than staying in cold Britain this year.

The average cost of gas, electricity and water for a Briton is £85.84 per month

EasyJet Holidays co., explained that these calculations depend on the average costs of gas, electricity and water for a person in Britain, which is estimated at about £85.84 per month, this means that the Briton who will leave his home and turn off all the devices to spend this winter in Egypt will save these bills because he will not pay them when staying in the most luxurious hotels in Hurghada, which costs only £13 a person per night.

Despite that the tourist is allowed to carry bags weighing up to 23 kg on the EasyJet Holidays planes, he can not carry this heavy weight because the Hurghada resort has all what he needs during his stay in the hotel, which also includes a gym or a sports center to practice exercises, and thus, he will save costs and suspend his subscription in the Bitish gym for a month during his stay in Egypt.

EasyJet Holidays flights to Egypt start January 3 and 4

However, there’s no telling by the EasyJet Holidays about how long the package will be on sale and it did not specify the duration of its cheap tour program to Egypt, but there is limited availability, dependent on customer demand and they can travel from January 3 from Gatwick and Bristol airports and on January 4 from Manchester and Luton.

EasyJet Holidays isn’t the only British company to take advantage of Britons' fears of rising fuel bills this winter or of electricity being cut off from heating appliances during January and February.

Last September, a Hertfordshire independent travel agency, TravelTime World, announced a cheap tourist program in a new campaign called “The Heat is On”, comparing the high costs of accommodation of staying at home in the UK during these two cold months with the costs of cheap accommodation during long-stay holidays in warmer countries such as Egypt.
