Carrefour eliminates single-use plastic across its stores in honour of COP 27
In light of COP 27 taking place in Egypt for the first time and in honour of the conference’s mission this year “Together for Climate Action”, Carrefour has begun implementing, and actioning, its commitment towards completely removing single-use plastic bags from its stores. The plastic bags have been replaced with reusable eco-friendly options provided at no additional cost.
Carrefour extends its appreciation towards customers who have been using eco-friendly bags during their shopping trips at the stores by providing them with 50 credited points on their MyClub account, once spotted at the counters.
Meanwhile, Carrefour customers also have the chance to add 20% credit to their MyClub account by purchasing from a selection of eco-friendly products.
This initiative has been running since November 6, and will last until November 18.
