El Mostakbal for Urban Development donates LE5mln to Tahya Misr Fund

El Mostakbal for Urban Development, the owner and developer of New  Cairo's Mostakbal City, has donated LE 5 mln to Tahya Misr Fund.

Commenting on this donation, chairman and managing director of El Mostakbal for Urban Development Eng. Essam Nassef lauded all precautions and preventive measures taken by the Egyptian state in helping the Egyptian economy overcome all Coronavirus-induced ramifications and headwinds, as well as in saving the lives of citizens.

" These measures testify to the state's readiness to take the appropriate decisions to overcome all hurdles the country is facing," said he.

Taking  the donation decision fulfilled the company's social responsibility role, particularly amid Coronavirus pandemic, he explained.

" We, alongside the company's board and shareholders, decided to cooperate with Tahya Misr Fund in view of its benevolent, effective and varied contributions in solving Egypt's crises and supporting low-income families."  

On his part, chief executive of Tahya Misr Fund Tamer Abd El-Fattah thanked El Mostakbal for Urban  Development, noting that this donation shows off how well the company is shouldering its social corporate responsibilities, as well as its appreciation for Tahya Misr Fund's benevolent role.

It's noteworthy that Tahya Misr Fund has launched its “Together, We Will Pass the Crisis” initiative to back the state's efforts at alleviating the ramifications of Coronavirus pandemic by means of providing fever and isolation hospitals with medical equipments, supplies and sanitizers.

Another axis of the initiative is relevant to helping the needy people and irregular workers across Egypt's 19 provinces.

The initiative provided 240 ventilators, 1000 syringes for use by the intensive care units, 15,000 protective clothing, 1 million masks, 50,000 N95 masks, tons of sanitizers and disinfectants packs, 1000 virus detectors and 50 disinfection gates.

In cooperation with Ministry of Social Solidarity and civil society organizations, Tahya Misr initiative unleashed three foodstuff caravans that helped 500,000 families with handed-outs of 6600 tons of foods, 170 tons of beef meat, 150 tons of poultry  meat, 160 vegetables and  300000 candies.
