CityScape signs off with four days of high turnout
Cityscape, Egypt’s most influential property exhibition, came to a close on Saturday, with four days of high visitor numbers reflecting the genuine investor confidence in the country’s real estate market.
The 9th edition of the event took place at Egypt International exhibition Centre (EIEC) from 4-7 November with the support from the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, succeeded in attracting a high visitor turnout through new launches, exclusive deals and discounts from over 50-plus leading property developers.
Faariss Khalil, Exhibition Manager for Cityscape in Egypt, said: “This year’s edition of Cityscape was a great success both in terms of stakeholder engagement and footfall. With over 50 developers showcasing projects, and high turnout of investors and homebuyers in search of investment opportunities, it highlighted the importance of the event in bringing all sides together, enabling the industry, and supporting the ‘back to business’ approach that the industry is taking.”
The event opened on Wednesday with Khaled Abbas, Deputy Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities visiting a number of exhibitor stands for detailed briefings and updates, and over the four days of the show, a large number of real estate developers showcased their new launches including Sorouh Developments, The Land Developers, Master Builder Group Development, Altameer Arabian and CityEdge Developments.
Developers across the board declared their satisfaction with this year’s Cityscape event.
AKAM Developments inaugurated the second phase of its Scene7 project at this year’s event and Managing Director Idris Mohamed said: “Cityscape is one of the most important real estate exhibitions that developers await in Egypt because it has a very large audience and is the perfect platform to display projects and offers, and also to meet a large number of prospective customers, and to understand their wants and needs this year.
“Participation in Cityscape this year gave new companies and established brands the opportunity to meet under one roof.”
Mohamed also praised the organisers for their efforts in safety and hygiene. He said: “The success of this year’s edition is the success of the next stage of exhibitions. The safety procedures were very professional throughout the entire four days. Cityscape is an important milestone for us, and we look forward to participating in the next edition 2021.”
Omar Al-Hamamsi, CEO and Managing Director of Orascom Development Holding, a leading brand with over 30 years of experience and a proven track record in sustainable development, emphasized the importance of Cityscape in supporting the industry, an important sector in the overall Egyptian economy.
