Mountain View signs agreement with Huawei to develop I-City

Mountain View Real Estate Investment has signed a cooperation agreement with “Huawei Technologies”, to develop infrastructure technology in I-City projects, with investments exceeding one million dollars.

The agreement includes two axes, the first is the establishment of ready-made data centers, which is a huge center connected to high-speed internet, consisting of a central control room, cameras, and gates throughout the project to provide privacy and security to customers. A commuter, for instance, who wants to ascend to the next floor, cameras installed overhead in the elevator will lift him/her up without having to press a button.

As for the second axis, it is linked to the Internet of Things, which is a network that allows understanding between devices interconnected with each other in the compound via Internet protocol, and these devices include tools, sensors, sensors, and various artificial intelligence tools, to provide high-speed services to customers, and the connection between the Internet, telephones, televisions, and other devices to facilitate understanding and bonding between the compound and the customer.

Eng. Amr Suleiman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Mountain View Real Estate Investment”, lauded the partnership with technology world leader Huawei, adding that the use of communication and information technology, and other technologies to work, create and develop smarter cities, help achieve sustainability for its residents and improve their life styles.

“ I City, taken shape in partnership with Ministry of Housing Utilities and Urban Communities, provides a unique experience with varied untraditional designs and advanced technologies similar to those found in ritzy residential compounds worldwide.”

Ted Wang Meng Yu, CEO of Huawei Technologies, said: “Huawei has always sought to cooperate with different sectors to support and promote digital transformation in various fields.

He added, “We see that the real estate sector is one of the dynamic sectors currently in the Egyptian market, and the state is investing in it through creating smart and modern cities that are compatible with the technology that the world and the population demand.”

“ By signing this partnership, we seek to support and help Mountain View realize its vision for a happy and connected world, because we believe that intelligence is the way and happiness is the destination. It has become necessary to set up networks inside compounds to introduce a fully smart and wireless environment, as residents spend up to 60% of their time at compounds.”
