Efforts made by Egypt to boost education highlighted at an Expo event
Tarek Shawki, the Egyptian Minister of Education and Technical Education highlighted the efforts made by Egypt since 2014 to boost the pre-university education, which included building the new Egyptian education system "Edu 2.0", introducing digital transformation, developing the evaluation process at the secondary level, launching Egypt's knowledge vision, and building the Egyptian Knowledge Bank.
"Edu 2.0” has helped provide education for all without discrimination, consider education outcomes, and improve the quality of the research and technological system and competitiveness of educational outcomes nationwide and internationally, Shawki noted.
Ayman Ashour, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Universities Affairs pointed out that a strategy for higher education and scientific research has been developed in line with "Egypt Vision 2030" aiming to increase higher education institutions, improve international classification of universities and international competitiveness, diversify sources of funding, develop educational curricula, build a creative and innovative society that produces science, technology and knowledge.
