Haitham ElMoheen: Egypt offers investment opportunities across 23 4G Citiesat MIPIM 2022
Egypt, represented by the Ministry of Housing, sheds light on investment opportunities and mega projects that have been executed in areas of utilities, infrastructure and smart cities through its participation in MIPIM 2022.
Egypt will take part in the greatest and most renowned real estate exhibition in the world, following its successful participation in the 2019’s edition during which the Egyptian pavilion managed to draw the world attention to the country, owing to the developments and renovation that materialized in Egypt at that time, not to mention its mega projects and diversity of exhibits crystallizing the enormity and resilience of the Egyptian market.
Chief Executive at organizer of Egypt’s pavilion at MIPIM BCI Haitham ElMoheen unveiled the salient features of this year’s participation and how to promote investment.
Haitham ElMoheen said that this year will see special focus being placed during the exhibition on promoting the investment opportunities in Egypt, including those made available in 23 4th Generation Cities, currently under construction.
He asserted that during Egypt’s 1st participation in MIPIM 2019 the two cities of the New Administrative Capital and Alamein City were only marketed.

Meetings will be organized to allow investors to come together, he asserted, adding that the new urban communities will be promoted, and the light will also be shed on the enormity of projects being carried out in Egypt in areas of infrastructure, transports, communications, etc. MIPIM 2022 Haitham ElMoheen said that MIPIM 2022 will mark Egypt’s distinguished participation, with its pavilion growing to 500m, up from 300m back in 2019. Countries that used to compete with Egypt in previous years, such as Turkey, obtained pavilions with spaces far less than the Egyptian equivalent.

Number of Egyptian companies that confirmed their participation in the Egyptian pavilion amounts to ١٤, or more. Some companies will take part in the opening ceremony under the umbrella of the pavilion without showcasing their own exhibits.
The exhibition gives the Egyptian companies a great chance to communicate with investors and to benefit from the expertise and the latest updates in areas of construction and marketing, hence adding value to the Egyptian market, he explained.
MIPIM2022 sees for the first time the participation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A 500m pavilion will be utilized by a delegation headed by the Minister of Investment and a group of senior officials.

He asserted that the Egyptian market features an array of advantages that qualify it to become the strongest and largest magnet for investments.
Foremost among them is its huge and growing demand, as its population exceeds 100 million people. There is also a real need for all real estate and service projects (whether they are medical, educational, recreational and industrial), hence the investor’s money will be far secured and can even yield rising returns.
The Egyptian participation in the exhibition will focus on sending a message saying that the work continues unabated despite the pandemic challenges which pushed some countries to impose full shutdown, while Egypt continued to be in action as usual, resisted the challenges and managed to log positive growth rates.
Egypt’s pavilion and the display spaces are equipped with screens, laptops and all illustration devices.
Meetings that were attended by the Egyptian companies, the investors and foreign funds desirous to invest in Egypt were arranged so as to forge a middle ground and a sound basis for cooperation.
The Egyptian pavilion’s first participation in MIPIM2019 saw more than 3500 visitors representing foreign mutual funds and foreign developers. Up to 26000 visitors attended that year’s MIPIM Exhibition.
