Google secures $2.5 billion Salesforce cloud contract - Bloomberg

Alphabet Inc.'s Google has secured a $2.5 billion cloud deal with Salesforce  Inc., marking a significant step in its efforts to compete with Microsoft Corp's productivity and artificial intelligence offerings, according to Blooomberg News. 

The deal symbolizes the growing trend among large tech firms to form alliances to provide a wider range of AI products.

Salesforce, which primarily uses Amazon 's cloud services, has pledged to spend a minimum of $2.5 billion over a period of seven years on Google's cloud-computing services. As a result of this agreement, Salesforce customers now have the option to operate their customer-management software, Agentforce autonomous AI assistants, and Data Cloud products on Google Cloud.

This strategic collaboration is part of a larger initiative to combine resources and attract corporate customers currently taking advantage of Microsoft Corp.’s productivity and artificial intelligence products. The deal underscores the increasing importance of partnerships in the tech sector, as companies seek to expand their offerings and reach a broader customer base.
