‘ Be united in the face of Coronavirus,’ Oriental Weavers’ Khamis to countrymen
Mohmed Farid Khamis, owner of Oriental Weavers Group, posted to Facebookthanking and calling his countrymen to be patient in handling Coronavirus pandemic.
“ My sons, daughters and partners in Oriental Weavers Group …. Egypt passed through very harsh and severe circumstances throughout its history … but it remained resolute and resilient … and managed to re-emerge as strong as ever to pursue its journey,” wrote Khamis.
“ With the Coronavirus-induced panic and havoc impacting the whole world, I call on all my countrymen to unite and trust God who is fairly kind and benevolent towards Man.”
Khamis also called on his people to be part of a teamwork and to be as innovative as possible while tapping knowledge and technology and taking the necessary precautions.
Also, Khamis persuaded people to support the Egyptian state in efforts it exerts in combating the pandemic while staying away from spreading rumours and pessimism.
Khamis had undergone a serious surgery in the United States.
Khamis, born in Kafr El-Sheikh goveornate in 1940 and the father of one son and two daughters, owns several companies and has got a bachelor degree in commerce and a post-graduate diploma in textile manufacturing from the U.S.A.
