Up to LE1.2bn contracts awarded for SODIC East since 2018
In a visit to SODIC East project, managing director ofSix of October Development and Investment(SODIC) Maged Sherif unveiled the latest construction updates about the company's largest project in East Cairo.
Speaking about the project's latest developments, Sherif said:" Since kick-starting works at SODIC East back in 2018, the company awarded up to LE1.2bn contracts. The construction of all phases is currently underway and on schedule. By 2021, units may start to be delivered."
There are up to 15 contractors and 2500 workers on site, with the completion of more than 65% of concrete skeletonsof 776 units, he added.
"Workers are currently finishing exteriors of buildings in the earlier phases of the project and installing utilities, such as the main road, drinking water plumbing, drainage system and electrical wiring."
Covering an area of 655 acres, themixed-use development is the real estate developer’s largest project in East Cairo with more than 84% open and green spaces.
It is worth mentioning that SODIC East features a six-acre park slated to be the first camping site of its size in Egypt.
" SODIC East is planned to mimic SODIC West project, a model of upscalemodern life style meticulously designed. SODIC East is privileged with its strategic location, where it is well positioned to cater to mushrooming demand for housing units in East Cairo."
The project provides also the youth and the newly-wed with an excellent opportunity to get far less pricey apartments than those available inNew Cairo, he maintained.
Owing to new roads built recently there, SODIC East is a 10-minute drive away from the New Administrative Capital.
SODIC East, developed in collaboration with Heliopolis Company for Housing and Development, occupies a strategic location nearbythe two high-ways of Cairo-Suez and Cairo-Ismailia.
