SODIC and Alfanar celebrate the graduates of Education Seed Cycle 2022
SODIC celebrates Egypt’s First Education Seed Cycle 2022 graduation ceremony with Alfanar at Club S - Allegria, honoring the five graduating Social Enterprises for completing Alfanar’s Sustainable Social Enterprise Training (ASSET).
Future Zone, Mahrati, Makouk, Man Ahyaha, and Sawaa were the five education social enterprises chosen for the inaugural Education Seed Cohort 2022. The five applicants were accepted as part of the program’s competitive application screening and pitching round in early 2022.
Over the course of four months, Alfanar worked one-on-one with the five SEs to support them through ASSET to strengthen their impact missions, business canvas models and growth plans.
In this light, Magued El Sherif, Managing Director of SODIC, said: “We are proud of celebrating the five graduating education social enterprises for their remarkable performance. The Education Seed Cycle program comes in line with SODIC’s strategy which sets its efforts towards investing in education and empowering social enterprises to avail offer improved education to impoverished beneficiaries in Egypt ”

SODIC and Alfanar have been successful partners since 2009, providing grant funding and management support to ambitious social enterprises in Egypt that have improved over 30,000 lives to date. The first Education Seed Cycle in Egypt has earned a reputation for being goal-driven by providing intensive training and management support aimed at strengthening foundations and pathways to sustainable impact and change.
